As 2010 comes to a close, we want to take some time to first and foremost say THANK YOU for your contribution to THE FUTURE earlier this year, and also give you an update on the project.
THE FUTURE has made many great strides in 2010, including the addition of a second animation station at LAND due to your contributions. Several artists at LAND use these computers both for THE FUTURE but also for other creative projects, and we are delighted to see the technology used in unique artistic pursuits.
We have completed half of the project (6 minutes of animation) and will resume a dedicated weekly schedule in early 2011 as we balance our volunteer efforts of THE FUTURE with professional commitments. We've made another great step forward with the documentary portion of our film: capturing interviews and film of the LAND artists at work, as well as "field trip" footage of the artists touring various New York City locations which inspire them.
Thanks to your generous help, our effort has already been a huge success with the artists of the League treatment Center's LAND program, as they now have the capabilities and equipment to pursue animation on their own. We are striving to finish the film in Summer, 2011 in time for a Fall, 2011 premiere. For those of you whose donation qualified you for the Pancake Party, this event will happen to coincide with the premiere.

Through your generosity we are off to an amazing start! In just our first week, we have raised over half of our target amount and also received a donation of another computer drawing tablet for the project! WOW!
