Posted project update #4The Final Lap
Dear Backers,
We are in the last few hours of our pledge campaign and I would like to thank all of you for a tremendous result. I could not have imagined that I would receive so much support- 96 of you contributed. 96! We will be ordering the umbrellas within the next few weeks and, because we surpassed our goal, we will be able to order more than 1000!
Over the next couple of months, we will be tightening up the message on our postcard, recruiting more volunteers, and finalizing our distribution plan. Come March, we should have the umbrellas and will then need to assemble them. They will be ready for the April showers of Pittsburgh.
Thank you so much for helping me to make this real. It has been one of the few times in my life that has reaffirmed my belief (and YOU have convinced me) that one can do anything that one sets out to do.

Attention Everyone!
With each new contribution, I am jumping out of my chair with excitement! My faith in humanity is shooting through the roof right now. I wish that I could express my gratitude without sounding so trite. I want to send everybody a thank you whether we reach our funding goal or not!
