Thanks to all of your support, we'll be building a manure-heated greenhouse this coming Spring! We never expected the number or scale of donations that we've seen, and we're excited that there are so many people dedicated to seeing our Greenhouse Project completed. Thank you for sharing the link, talking us up to your friends, and (of course) donating your own cash to fund our project.

Less than a week ago we launched this project, wishing and hoping and praying that maybe, just maybe, we would be able to put up a greenhouse this spring. Now, thanks to all our very generous supporters, we're 89% of the way there!
With the greenhouse now within our sights, we're thinking of creative ways to make up that last 11%. Here's what we've come up with:
- Tomorrow is Dollar Day! A generous backer has agreed to match all $1 donations, up to $150. A dollar donation is a great way to be a part of the remarkable team that made this greenhouse dream a reality. Make a $1 donation on 12/9 and your dollar will be matched!
- Know anyone who's looking to switch banks? If you're local to the Berkshires, we suggest Lee Bank. The free checking is great, and they're a local community bank where you're a person, not just a bank account number. Plus, Amanda's cousin Jenna has generously offered to donate her $50 commission for each referral to the greenhouse project! Just mention Jenna's name when opening your account through the end of the month.
A few people have asked what happens if we surpass our goal. The truth is we never dared to hope we'd get that far. Our $3000 goal, minus the fees Kickstarter and Amazon take, will just cover the cost of the greenhouse kit itself. The real cost of the greenhouse involves bringing in an earthmover to level the ground, a backhoe to dig the manure pit, cinderblocks and lumber to support the walls of the manure pit, and a couple of greenhouse tables. That's easily another $500, so any surplus funding will go towards that. And if, by some miracle, we receive even more funding than that, we'll use it to put a little potting shed on the greenhouse.

We live in Northeastern Connecticut.... Cheshire is a beautiful area for a greenhouse. We look forward to our tour this coming spring and we hope Badger it part of it!

Friends,
We are absolutely floored by the support you've given us already. We launched the project to a small test group over the weekend, but it wasn't until yesterday morning that we went live to the world -- and before midnight, we had already achieved 50% of our goal. We are so grateful to everyone who's backed the project and spread the word to their friends.
A year ago, when we made the decision to move to the Berkshires and start a small farm, we anticipated a lot of puzzlement and skeptical looks from our loved ones. What we've gotten instead is helpful hands and cheering voices. In short, you are awesome.
As of 9:00 this morning we are 52% funded, which is amazing. But we've still got 48% to go! Help us keep the momentum up by chipping in (if you haven't already) and telling your friends. Plus, stay tuned for an exciting donor-matching event later this week!

Cian and Amanda run Three Maples Market Garden, a small farm in the Berkshires Hills. Our goal is to grow high-quality, flavorful and nutritious vegetables on land that has lain fallow for decades and make it available and affordable to our friends and neighbors.
Ruth is a friend of mine from way back (okay, high school, but still...) so you can thank her for my little donation. Looking forward to knowing that your endeavor is successful.
