    we have that in Norwich - the council picks up green bins. only trouble is that they currently only do garden waste, not kitchen waste. One thing to note though. Compost is good but nitrous oxide (N20) is emitted from soil (in bacterial denitrification) whether it is fertilized with commercial fertilizer or organic recycled compost. Nitrate is nitrate no matter the source. More nitrate in the soil means we need to seriously research N2O mitigation strategies like biochar.
