    Thank you.

I am so proud to announce that we reached our Kickstarter goal.

InvadeNOLA raised $3518 in 35 days.

That is a tremendous honor, and I am so thankful for every tweet, blog post, facebook status, and hard earned dollar that was used to support independent media. It is through YOUR support that we were able to reach this goal.

So now I'm sure you're wondering what's next.

I am committed to developing the best online magazine and giving an authentic voice to New Orleans youth culture.

The month of April will be dedicated to planning, completing the InvadeNOLA print edition,  shipping gifts to donors, and participating in the Alternative Media Expo.

Then in May we will roll out the first of ten new issues.

We would love your feedback on how to improve InvadeNOLA. Click now to fill out a brief survey

And last but not least, an email to follow will gather information, so I can distribute donor gifts.

    A humble and very happy,

    Wow!

We're so close I can taste it.

I am literally amazed by the amount of love and support I've seen from each of you.

It is the most amazing feeling in the world to have people not only support an idea, but also to make a tangible investment.

I have learned to not be afraid to ask for help.

I have learned to be more confident in talking about my projects.

But more than that, I have learned that a group of people can change the world.

In this new world where the impossible is possible, I am dedicated to giving you the best online magazine I can.

The invasion has begun. We will show the world the new NOLA.

    $126 remaining.

But where will the money go when I donate to InvadeNOLA

    Where will my money go?

We've broken down the funding in the following ways:

70% will be used for the production of 5 months of bi-weekly magazine issues.

It takes roughly $250 to produce one issue times 10 issues in 5 months = $2500

The remaining 25% will be used for an online and offline marketing campaign to increase the readership on the site. This includes the production of a printed book, tshirts, participation in events, and digital advertising.

    5% goes to Kickstarter

Do you have any future methods of getting funding for the mag?

By creating a magazine that directly interacts with our consumer, we have plans of generating additional funds by product sales, awesome local events, and advertising that is interesting and relevant to our audience.

Is there a deadline and how can people still support the mag after the deadline?

The deadline for pledges is Monday April 5. If we do not reach full funding by that day, we will receive no funds and no one's credit cards will be charged.

And suddenly there were only ten days left.

First and foremost I want to thank all of you for the support. It is an amazing feeling to have a group invest in your idea. I am completely humbled by this experience and anxious to reach our funding goal. But regardless of the outcome I am above all grateful.

I have one more request (as if I haven't asked enough all ready).

To reach the funding goal, I need your help in spreading the message. Please update your Facebook statuses, send out twitter updates, write on your blogs, and email your friends. Its only through a group effort that we can reach the goal in the next 10 days.

Thank you. thank you. thank you.
