None of them work. The editor version comes closest. My personal preference is for copy that gives me a feel for the book without actually revealing very much. Since you asked, sort of, here's my version: Donovan Candle is the consummate husband. Stable, hard-working, and dedicated to his wife, Donovan is a flawless specimen of the average American. Until now. Strange visions of a monochromatic world, and bizarre physical symptoms, make Donovan fear he's losing his grip -- literally -- on reality. Worse, no one seems to notice. Then his wife disappears, and his life goes from weird to terrifying. Donovan must play by a mysterious stranger's rules to get her back. Will he be in time to save her -- and himself -- from the dangers of a life transparent?

Hi Todd -- I have a Kindle, so of course I'd want to read it in that format. I understand your concerns about Amazon and pricing across other platforms -- I would have intended to do the same thing, use Smashwords as the aggregator for other formats, but the thought of having my book constantly bouncing off Amazon's shelves anytime someone elsewhere discounted it would be really frustrating. As for price, I don't think $0.99 is too low, even for a full-length book -- that is to say, I wouldn't automatically look at that price and think the book must not be very good. I would say the $2-$3 range would be the sweet spot for me, but I'd pay as much as $5 (or more, if it's a book I really want from a favorite author -- but I will generally buy the most inexpensive format, even if it's not digital, to get the most book for my buck).

Hi, Amelia. I vote for quality -- you and Todd should take the time you need to feel satisfied with the final product. Holiday shopping is nice and all that, but rushing to meet that deadline won't do any of us any favors in the long run. That's my .02.
