Posted project update #6MobileSauna In The Show & Rewards Update
Post CommentHello!
Our MobileSauna made it into The Other New York biennial opening this Fall! This is a big multi-venue group art exhibition organized by the Everson Museum in Syracuse, NY. Other participating venues include Art Rage, Lightwork, Red House, and others (press release). You might be happy to know that you will all be credited as donors in the show's catalog. We are completing the image for the catalog over the next week.

The reward packages are coming together. We originally had them going out to you in March, however we are still fulfilling the gift packs. They are coming out swimmingly! Above is a sneak peak at the hand-painted mugs getting ready for firing.
Our new stove is a wonder. We had to raise an additional grand and a half to get it, but thanks to you we had our successful Kickstarter to encourage the donor! Finally, our new stove arrived. We almost combusted when we saw the serial number. Its a great omen as far as heat goes. We will be in touch shortly to ascertain your mailing address.

Posted project update #5Rewards will be in the mail soon!
Post CommentThanks to your help, we've purchased tamarack wood for the exterior of the sauna, which we have prepped and will put up this weekend. We are looking into using a combination of cedar and hemlock for the inside. We also ordered a wood fire sauna stove certified for mobile home use (HUD 1482)! Below are some production photos of the rewards we will be sending to you later this month!
Thank you! Thank you!

Posted project update #4Thanks to you we have surpassed our goal!!
Post CommentThank you for your generous support. We are honored and thrilled. We are looking forward to post holiday construction so that the sauna will be ready to hit the road soon!
There are 59 hours left of the mobile sauna Kickstarter campaign. Feel free to keep spreading the word. Any donations we receive beyond the $4000 goal will be used to start a transportation fund for vehicle rental and eventual purchase of a dedicated vehicle to tow the sauna.
We are looking forward to sharing the warmth!

Posted project update #3Construction Update and Interior Design!
Post CommentThank you for all of your generous support!!!!!!! We have 12 days and $1092 to go. Please help us keep spreading the word.
We awoke to a nice covering of snow on the ground this past Sunday. Today is dreary and rainy with snow in the forecast for the weekend. Luckily we just put a roof on the sauna! We built a frame and put up plywood. The walls have been covered with Tyvek and we put underlayment on the roof so that the sauna will stay dry during the holiday week and be ready for us to continue construction in the new year.
Check out the construction photos below and this 3D sketch of the mobile sauna to get a sense of the layout. Note the changing room in the front and benches which comfortably seat up to six people at a time. Of course, the actual sauna won’t be a block floating in space and the stove will have nice tiles around it for even heat distribution:)
