Posted project update #11Making Faces DVD shipped to Kickstarter Backers
Post CommentHello Kickstarter backers!
The DVDs have all been shipped to you. I hope you like the end result. If it hasn't arrived yet, it should very soon. We also included a new chapbook style specimen book of all of Jim Rimmer's digital fonts. The Stern Specimen that is included is not included in the general DVD now for sale since we have all but run out of them.
Your support made this project finally happen and for that we are eternally grateful.
As you may know another project I am involved in (WNY Book Arts Center, a 501 c 3 non profit org) also has used kickstarter and we have a new one:
http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/565689766/getting-woodtype We keep applying for funding and writing brilliant grant proposals for public and private funding, and even though we keep getting kicked back we must endure and seek other methods of funding. Things are tough all over. We know we are making progress, but upkeep of a building and non stop programming is taking most of our limited resources. We hope you can help with this new project and get yourself some nice limited edition woodtype specimen sheets printed by Richard Kegler, Chris Fritton and the WNYBAC team of printers. We see it as a win-win. Epic Win!
Thanks again for past, present, and future support of the printing and typographic arts RK

Posted project update #10DVD update and related project
The DVD bonus features and menu final touches are almost ready. Once DVDs are pressed they will be sent right out to you, the kickstarter backers, before they go anywhere else. Thank you for your patience on this, It truly could not have been done without your help.
I thought you may also be interested in a related project. The CC Stern foundry in Portland (who were donated the Stern Matrices by Jim Rimmer) has started their own Kickstarter project:
