San Francisco, CA

I have a degree in biology and environmental science from Duke. I love the ocean and am fascinated by the creatures living in it. I've been living in San Francisco since college developing the Desktop Jellyfish Tank. It's been my dream for a long time to bring this product to market and I hope Kickstarter can help make it happen!

Hi Carlos, The FAQ for this project states that we are not able to ship jellyfish internationally. We are only able to ship tanks and accessories outside the U.S. In the past, we have only sent jellyfish to the continental U.S. and Hawaii because our shipper guarantees an overnight delivery. With this said, we are currently investigating ways to send jellies to you in Puerto Rico. For a quicker response, please contact our customer representatives (info@jellyfishart.com) who will update you on our progress. Thanks!

Sorry for the delay, everyone! Nathan and pflautt: We apologize for the wait. Please email us at info@jellyfishart.com so we can check up on your orders! Lana: While jellies are delicate they have a pretty unique ability to bounce back and recover. Make sure the torn jellies are getting plenty of food (try focus feeding them!) so they can regenerate their lost tissue. Also do an additional 20% water change - this will help them heal quicker. Feel free to call us with any questions! 415-373-6049

Hi Adam, If you are having problems with your pump please contact us at info@jellyfishart.com so we can help you out. Tino, if you are unsatisfied with our product or service in any way we are more than happy to accept your return and issue you a refund. I understand we were a bit late delivering the product, but it was because we put a lot of hard work into making sure the Tank was top quality. We are very grateful for our supporters and we do not want you to be unhappy. Please contact us in the next couple days at info@jellyfishart.com if you would like to pursue this. Lana, I'm sorry you have not received your Tank yet. We are trying our best to remedy the situation immediately.

Tino - the Beginner's Package has now been segmented into its separate products. Your voucher has been bumped up to $100 to account for this increase in price. If you have any questions please contact us directly. Lana - if you have not received your Tank please contact us at info@jellyfishart.com with your shipping information. We will check up on your order. I apologize for the wait. We appreciate all your support and patience throughout this process. Last week was a bit chaotic shipping out everyone's Tank so we appreciate everyone bearing with us.

Hi Jon, The Tank can hold up to 4 small or large jellyfish. We recommend starting out with no more than 3 though.

Hi Scott, I just posted this to Facebook so you have an idea of how the pricing works in your favor. "Indeed we are extraordinarily grateful to our Kickstarter backers, thank you all so much. This is why we've included an extra 3-month supply of food ($27 value), increased your coupon value to $100 ($35 value after difference in new tank price) and included shipping ($30 value). Your total discount is $103, which better than the Fab deal. For a full explanation of pricing, see https://www.jellyfishart.com/kb_results.asp?ID=72 Let us know if you have any other questions."

        Alex,

Photos on the box in which the tank is packaged, as well as that you sell snails and hermit crabs, imply that other creatures can live successfully (and may even be desirable) amongst the jellyfish. Would you please elaborate on this?

        Thanks,

        Dave

        And two more questions:

I just ordered my food and jellyfish. Will I receive tracking information when they are shipped? Also, will my extra three-month supply of food be automatically added to the order? There did not seem to be any provision for this in the ordering process.

        Thanks again

And still one more: Above you mention that you include shipping on the initial food and jellyfish orders, using the gift certificate code. According to the invoice, I was charged shipping on my order. Please explain.

        Thanks once again.

Thank you for waiting, everyone! We are a small company and it's taking time to get through all your messages, and we really appreciate your patience. We are working hard to address every one of your questions and concerns. - Shipments. We are rolling out the preorders as quickly as we can and if you haven't gotten yours yet, you will very soon. - Gift Certificates: If you are having trouble redeeming your $50 gift certificate, make sure you are on Page Checkout (not Your Cart). After you fill out your shipping information, find at the very bottom of the Checkout Page some blue text that says "Apply a Gift Certificate." A three-part field should show up. Enter your code there. - Jellyfish Capacity: We recommend a maximum of 5 jellyfish in the Desktop Tank. You can do any combination of small and large. We suggest for the first 2 weeks you start with no more than three jellies so the filtration system has time to catch up to the biological load (the helpful bacteria colony that digests jellyfish waste in your tank needs time to grow to meet demand). - Heaters/Thermometers: We originally thought we were going to include one in each preorder, but a heater has become unnecessary. If the room temperature is between a reasonable range (65-90 degrees Fahrenheit) your jellyfish will be healthy!

The tide is turning boys. Congrats on releasing a dud. For $350 this tank should be of much higher quality materials. I about fell over when I saw how crappy this is in person. Instead you've released a Walmart grade product. Instead of blowing smoke up people's asses maybe you should start over and try again. You've made fools out of a lot of people.
