commented on a project updateUnfortunately no one but tavisallison and javiallison are in charge of the Minecraft Dwimmermount. We are learning it as we go along! I am just mastering the technical aspects of the server. I should have known from the afterschool D&D class that the social rules would be much more important.

commented on a project update@Nathan, that sucks! We've had some other examples of kids and adults getting along well, but clearly we need to set up rules for what's encouraged, what's permitted, and what's appalling and unacceptable.

commented on a project@Andrew, if you are getting the Adventurer Conqueror King or Labyrinth Lord core rules in PDF, it will be made available as soon as we have the orders and outside payment sorted out. If you are getting these core rules in hardback, the assumption is that you'd want us to combine it with the Dwimmermount book so that you don't have to pay for shipping. (Note that with ACKS you get the PDF free with the hardback.)

commented on a project updateThe goal is to provide a virtual way to visit the halls of Dwimmermount. That might be to help GMs prep by getting first-hand experience with its layout, or (eventually) to get outsiders who are into Minecraft interested in Dwimmermount. We'd like to encourage everything from simple exploration to lending a hand to excavate and furnish the rooms to survival mode play where you build a house in town and fight monsters. Multiplayer is fun because you can do collaborative projects like this!

commented on a project update@David, it's OK to share with people you trust. If that gets them excited about Dwimmermount that's a good thing! There is an impressive amount of the first level @Johnny, that is a good idea but unfortunately you can only send the survey once and I didn't think to include Minecraft username along with everything else. We can send individual emails to backers, and will do so before installing a whitelist.

Fun, but I don't seem to be able to destroy dirt blocks so I can't tunnel. Some of the trees were similarly indestructible as were the cows.
