Posted project update #2Recasting, rewriting, rebooting
Post CommentHi, everyone!
Thanks for your continued support of The Unhuman. Wanted to update you with the latest. We know it's been a while ...
We've recast one of the roles and gone through a rewrite. We got a lot of shooting done this month, and have plans to do more in a few weeks.
Our new goal is to have a completed film in time for submission to the Drunken Zombie Film Festival in Peoria this fall. (We hear that's a great event. Our parents and uncle and aunt really enjoyed it last year, when our short film, Don't Go Into the Woods, was screened. If you're a fan of horror films, you should think about planning a trip to Peoria for the festival!)
Check out some pictures from the set here!
Again, thanks for your support (and patience)!

Posted project update #1Long Overdue Update on The Unhuman!
Everyone,
Sorry about the huge delay in getting info about the filming of The Unhuman out to all of our loyal backers. We hope you’ll understand that things got a little bit crazy during our initial shooting in late summer. One of our lead actors, Marcus, had to have surgery on his spine. He was out of it for a long time! We have recently started shooting again, but school starting up has now made it so that we can only shoot on weekends. With everyone having tons to do on the weekends it has been extremely difficult to get everyone together in order to work on the movie.
But there is a ton of good news about The Unhuman to share too. First of all, even with all of the obstacles we are now two thirds of the way done with filming. We absolutely HAVE to be done with the filming in the next couple of weeks and we have already begun editing. Also, our first short horror movie, Don’t Go Into the Woods has been picked to screen at the Drunken Zombie horror film festival in Peoria this weekend. Because this is a festival at a theater/bar, Jacob and I can’t go, but it’s still pretty cool. All of our backers might like to know that the first trailer for The Unhuman will have its premiere too.
While the trailer will make its big screen debut at the festival, we thought (seeing as though you guys are funding this thing!) that our friends at Kickstarter should get the first look. So please be sure to check out the trailer!
Also, we want to let all of our backers know that we plan to have The Unhuman completed and out to our backers by years end. Your belief in us has been helpful in helping pull this off. No kidding, it has been hard work!

Adam, thanks for the pledge! When we get to that point, beleive me we'll get ahold of you. Kickstarter's going to be an awesome tool to connect people doing all kinds of different things to support one another in their work. Too cool! Yancey, thank you as well. Trust me... your still will be crazy-nuts! That's a promise!
