Posted project update #4ESPN
Post CommentHello Kickstarter backers!
Long time, no comunicado. Sorry about that! Please join the facebook page for the film for more updates since I won't be using this much longer.

We finally have finished the editing stage of the film. YAY! And now to do post. In the meantime, we are getting a very positive response from the fine cut and are praying we get into a good festival. Also, ESPN is doing a segment on Maureen Shea and is doing a companion piece on their website about our film, "Girl In The Ring." We are hoping to continue tying ourselves together with women's boxing and the premiere of the women's boxing team in the Olympics.
Again, a big thank you to everyone who has supported us all along the way. We have a short bit more to do to get there, but we definitely see the light at the end of the tunnel.
Best,
Jill

Posted project update #3EDITING>>> RE-SHOOTING
Post CommentHi Everyone,
Thanks so much for enabling me to move forward with this project. Award winning editor Tchavdar Gieorgev has added so much and has encouraged me to do more shooting in New York with each of the characters. Digging Deeper and Deeper.
Susan, Maureen, Kimberly and I will be doing a major photo shoot for the poster on Thursday night that will be videotaped. Because of the generosity of Paul O'Collitan, Evan Seplow, Jason Jaworski, Gary Lai, this has been made possible. Small but steady steps are being made to get there!
In a few months, we should have a very decent cut to show folks and garnering feedback.
Thanks for your support and interest!
Best,
Jill

What you are doing is fabulous. I did some boxing in the 90's but was too old for the Golden Gloves.
I am inspired by your stories.
I am allso a boxer ,I box more then 12 years, I did 2 years muay thai. Now I am a powertrainer for the fighters! I am inspired by your stories and it sure hit me. Fighting sure is a way of living! And it got me to where I am now. Lots of succes with the last round of " Fighting it"
