Job Hunters is a comedic web series about roommates set in a dystopian society. After college, people must fight in an arena from 9am-5pm daily in order to be properly placed into a career. Job Hunters focuses on one “rag-tag group” of hunters during their down time, spent in a government sanctioned safe house. Yes, there will be blood. And roommate issues.

    Big huge thank you!

    Hello, awesome Job Hunters fans!

We really should have done this final update sooner, but we've been so busy casting, writing, and getting ourselves waist-deep in pre-production for the show that we've almost forgotten about... everything else! Sorry about that!

BUT - this project wouldn't be possible without the generosity of you guys, so it was time to come by and tell you so.

Thank you to everyone who donated to our project, especially those of you who came to hang out with us at our Live Show event on December 22nd. We raised nearly $2,000 additional dollars in the final hours of the fundraiser; we laughed, we cried - we even got Forest to put on girl clothes. It was a blast, and for those of you who missed it, there are recorded segments on our BlogTV channel (http://www.blogtv.com/people/jobhunters) as well as screencaps on this lovely fan tumblr that was made during the show (http://jobhuntersliveshow.tumblr.com/).

We hit the bonus incentive mark for hosting a local donor party, so if you live in or around the Seattle area, keep an eye out for announcements about that in the future. We haven't decided when it's going to be yet, but we'll be posting that information in the coming months.

A few of you have been asking if there is a way to continue donating even though the Kickstarter Campaign has ended, and the answer is yes! Feel free to send additional donations to our PayPal account (watchjobhunters@gmail.com). You guys are the best!

We have a lot of work to do ahead of us, but thanks to this Kickstarter Campaign, we've got quite the running start. Thanks again for all your support, and we'll talk to you all soon.

    9 days left UPDATE!

    Hello Kickstarter friends and fans!

There are 9 days left in our campaign and we have some exciting news for you!

First of all, we'd like to let you know that we have some new incentives we're announcing today for further goals we'd like to reach with our fundraising. These will be listed on the homepage of our campaign, but we wanted to explain them a bit more in depth here for you first!

$14,000 - Local Donor Party hosted by Job Hunters cast and crew. If we reach this amount of money, we'll be throwing a special party here in Seattle for all local donors to come hang out, meet the cast and crew, and have a good old time together Job Hunters style.

$16,000 - Season One Music Video. If we reach this amount of money, we'll be filming a "Do You Want To Date My Avatar" style music video to supplement the first Season of Job Hunters. We can guarantee silly lyrics and dancing, that's for sure!

$18,000 - Out of State Donor Party at a popular convention. If we reach this amount of money, we'll be flying to a popular convention a little further from home to throw a donor party for our out-of-state fans. Location tba but could include Chicago, California, NY, etc.

$20,000 - Behind the Scenes Documentary. If we reach this amount of money, we will hire additional crew members to create an in depth and professional looking Behind the Scenes documentary of the filming of Season One. Guaranteed to include bloopers. ;)

We hope you'll continue to help us out, whether it's by donating yourself, spreading the word about the project, or tweeting or facebooking it to your friends and family.

And, even more excitingly, we hope you'll join us on December 21st for our 6-hour LIVE SHOW to end the Kickstarter with a BANG! We'll be live from 4pm-10pm Pacific, doing all sort of crazy stunts to keep you entertained while we count down the minutes to the end of our fundraiser.

Information about the live show is here: http://www.facebook.com/events/129263597187540/

We hope to see you there!

    100% of the way there!

Holy crap, guys. Seriously. We have 16 days left in this campaign, and we've already reached our $10,000 goal with flying colors. None of us expected this to happen so quickly! It's incredibly exciting, and this update post is mostly a big huge "thank you" to those who have already pledged. Beyond raising the money we need to make this project a reality, the four of us are so pleased to see how many people are enthusiastic about the idea as a whole. The response on twitter, facebook, youtube and here on Kickstarter has been overwhelmingly positive and we couldn't be happier.

By the way, I didn't even get a chance to WRITE a 75% post! That's how insane the last few days have been for us!

We'd like to send a big public shout-out and thank you to Lucas Diercouff for pledging at the $2,500 level and becoming the project's official "Sugar Daddy". I got a phone call at 7:30 in the morning today from co-creator Liz Leo who noticed the pledge first - I will say this was one of the few times I didn't mind being woken up that early. A million thanks from all of us.

The awesome part is; the more money we raise, the bigger and better this web series will be! We have a few more awesome incentives up our sleeves for things we plan on doing/creating if we reach larger goals past our initial $10,000 cap, but for today, we just want to say 'thank you' and sit back and revel in how far we've come. Look out for the additions to the incentive list in the next few days.

    68% of the way there!

We had been intending to do updates at each quarter milestone. However, it has been so out of control here in the past 24 hours that 50% shot right by -- before before any of us actually had a chance to sit down and write anything!

Yesterday, Kristina posted a video about the Kickstarter Campaign on her YouTube channel (italktosnakes) and since then, the response has been overwhelmingly positive. In the same day we received our first $250, $500 and $1,000 pledges, which was absolutely mind-blowing. I'm sure you can imagine how much dancing-around-our-bedrooms-in-giddiness was happening for the four of us yesterday.

We plowed past halfway and now we're sitting at a very exciting 68%, which has made all of this turn from a distant dream to a very possible reality. Again, if we don't hit $10,000 by our deadline we don't get any of the money, but you guys have shown us so much support that we're confident we can reach that with no problem. After all, there are still 18 days left!

In a live show yesterday on www.YouNow.com, creators Kristina Horner and Liz Leo promised if we reached $5,000 that same day (we did) they'd write up a detailed history of the mythical creature the Polycorn (a unicorn with many horns). If you were at the show, look for the link to that soon, possibly in the next campaign update. If you weren't at the show... don't worry about it. It was just a silly thing. :P

Everyone has been so generous, but what's even more important to us has been hearing how excited people are for the actual show. At the end of the day we want you to be a fan of the show itself, so hearing that people really dig the concept is the best news we can receive.

As always, be sure to follow our Facebook and Twitter accounts for more news, and thank you thank you thank you!
