Did I understand correctly from one of your recent updates that the "pony express" option does NOT include shipping? I included shipping in my price when I pledged as it said in the pledge option "please add shipping accordingly". If you could set me straight that would be great!

Wow! Sounds like you guys are having quite the time of it! I'm really glad though that you aren't sacrificing quality for speed of delivery. What's an extra month or two when you'll have this pen for a lifetime, that's how I'm looking at it anyway. Very interesting update and you just make sure the pen is perfect when it arrives and people will be happy happy happy:)

I guess what attracted me to this story in the first place was how ridiculously challenging it would be! To go on tour with up to fifteen people, with bikes weighing in over 200lbs, In Mexico no less where the roads can be treacherous, the terrain desolate, where fatigue and misery would no doubt afflict everyone at times. And I guess I imagined this being overcome by the strong lifting up the weak, making sacrifices in speed to make sure everyone was together, riding, start to finish. I'm probably missing the point but I'm a fan of adventure! And this adventure was set up as a bike adventure and jumping in backs of trucks when you're tired is cheating me out of what was promised! I totally respect and admire what you guys did, I have no idea just how difficult that trip must have been and how special it was. I can't wait to see the documentary when it's finished!

So your weakest rider gets tired, literally just sleepy, and you put her and her gear in a truck... well that's certainly a new element to the story. This reminds me of a little girl, Marla Olmstead, who's Jackson pollock like paintings sold for thousands before it was discovered her dad coached her while she painted and their value dropped to zero.
