Posted project update #10Happy Halloween from Dr. Bonesaw!
Post CommentWell, Halloween is here, and that means that as of tomorrow we have reached the end of our fundraiser. Sadly it doesn't seem as though we will make our goal, despite the best efforts of everyone involved. That doesn't mean Dr. Bonesaw is dead, though. As we all know, the killer can never truly die, even if the title of the movie is something like "Freddy's Dead" or "The Fina Chapter."
We will be working hard to bring Dr. Bonesaw to the big screen however we can, and we hope that everyone who pitched in at this early phase would still like to be along for the ride. Please email me at asa@madeoflead.com so I can be sure I have your proper email address, and I will make sure you get all the latest updates on Dr. Bonesaw as the project develops, and can still be involved in the eventual production. It's going to be bloody good.
Best,
Asa -

Posted project update #82 weeks left!
Post CommentOnly two weeks to go before Halloween, and the end of our pledge drive. We're doing pretty well so far, but this really is the final push, so please be sure to let everyone you know hear about Dr. Bonesaw, and their chance to die in a horror flick!
In related news, we are currently using the completed script to search for Production partners who might be able to match your pledges, or otherwise allow us to generate even more big screen mayhem. We've also gotten some press lately, with a write-up on Shock til You Drop, and even a brief item in the Gaea times of West India. That's right folks, we're taking this baby global!
Of course I'll keep you all updated as more news unfolds, and do everything I can to get us over the finish line.

Posted project update #7Bonesaw Birthday wishes
Post CommentA happy Bonesaw Birthday to pledger Susan Marie Roman, who has been blanketing her area with flyers and getting the word out about Dr. Bonesaw! Here at Bonesaw HQ we are putting the final polish on the script (did you check out the first 8 pages?) and cooking up some cool stuff for the second half of our fundraising. Get ready for some exciting FX challenges: we'll be dropping knives on people, injecting doctors with acid, and a whole lot more.
For those of you that bought deaths... there's a lot of good kills to be had, and with the exception of our Sole Survivor ("we've got a live one here!") there's definitely some room to play with your gruesome end.

Posted project update #6Script!
Post CommentWe have one month left to go, and it's great to see how much excitement there is for Dr. Bonesaw. The script is still being tweaked and revised (and obviously will get rewritten as we learn more about who our Victims will be) but as a special treat, we have the first 8 pages of murderous mayhem here to whet your appetite.
Unlike every other script you find on the internet, we more than encourage you to pass this on to friends and leak it to anyone you think might like it.

Posted project update #5We're at 25%! Way to go everyone!
Post CommentWe screened the Dr. Bonesaw promo at the The Echo Game screening last night, and it got a great crowd reaction. Some guy in the audience yelled "Yes!" towards the end. I don't know who that guy is, but he's great. That's exactly what we want, to have the audience really reacting, and I think we'll get it in spades.
Thanks to all the backers and fans out there for pledging. We are now 25% funded with more than a month still to go in our pledge drive! Great work everyone, and keep getting the word out! We've gotten a lot of press (local NBC websites all over the country have been picking up the story) and we hope to keep that ball rolling, but personal word of mouth can be even better.
Also, don't forget to grab a Dr. Bonesaw computer wallpaper, and to become a fan of Dr. Bonesaw on facebook.
Also... Doh! I should have just put the Behind the Scenes video up here. So now I have.

Posted project update #4Check out the Behind The Scenes on the Neck-Saw effect
Post CommentWe have a few of these Behind-the-Scenes videos that we'll be releasing over the next few weeks, but first one up is a peek at the neck saw effect from the promo, complete with some digital trickery and color timing. You can check it out at the BTS section of the Dr. Bonesaw website or on youtube.
Tell your friends!

Posted project update #3Doctor's Bag
Post CommentHey everyone,
We've put together a helpful kit we like to call the "Doctor's Bag" that has an FAQ, flyers, and helpful tips for raising funds over at www.drbonesaw.com. So if you (or someone you know) wants to be a Victim but doesn't have the money, we have some great ways to try to raise the funds. One big one is that if you can get friends and family to pledge at lower levels, and leave a comment noting that their pledge is for you, they will get their reward, but their pledge will ALSO count towards you becoming a Victim.
Go check out, and spread the word!
