Steve Swink || game designer, author, lecturer, teacher:

I'm currently Creative Director of Enemy Airship (www.enemyairship.com), a small independent game studio, working on a game called Shadow Physics (www.shadowphysics.com). Before that, a game designer at Flashbang studios, creating games for www.blurst.com. Before that, a designer on Tony Hawk Underground.

I wrote a book one time, about the tactile sensation you get when you control something in a game. More at www.game-feel.com.

I help out as a co-coordinator of the Independent Game Festival (www.igf.com) and the Independent Game Summit (www.indiegamesummit.com).

I teach game design and level design at the Art Institute of Phoenix (www.aipx.edu.)

And lately I've been helping Kokoromi (www.kokoromi.org) organize the amazing Gamma event, to be held this year in San Francisco.

    Thank you!

We at Kokoromi have been overwhelmed with the support we have received, particularly from the indie community, for Gamma IV. Thank you to each and every person and group that donated to this campaign—from the high-level supporters who helped push us over the top, to those whose support was (necessarily) more symbolic than financial, and to all you all in between. Thank you most of all to the indie developers and to Think Services for donating incredible sponsorship rewards that virtually ensured the success of our campaign, and to Steve Swink and Flashbang for everything you’ve done to put this all together. It goes without saying that we could not have done it without you all.

We organize events like Gamma because we believe in creating more opportunities for gamemakers to explore their art, and for the public to experience new kinds of games and gaming experiences. It is tremendously heartwarming and encouraging to see how much love and support is behind events such as Gamma IV. It makes all of our hard work worthwhile, and strengthens our resolve to bring you the best Gamma yet.

Just 2 more days to Gamma IV—we hope to see you there!
