Amazing things happen here.
All. The. Time.
One day a project's launching something into space. The next someone's raising millions of dollars to make something awesome. You'll be part of some of the most amazing things happening anywhere.
-
Nothing bonds a team like making a project video! We made this one for our film festival.
-
Amanda Palmer threw a wild block party for her backers. We got to be VIPs.
-
SXSW featured so many Kickstarter filmmakers that we hosted a screening for them.
-
The guys behind the Trebuchette and Skallops visited. Best part? They brought toys.
-
Double Fine raised a million dollars in 24 hours. We popped champagne.
-
The day Rick Ross hung out across the street: better for morale than productivity.
You'll fit right in.
Team Kickstarter is just 57 people—a tiny footprint for what's happened so far. Every week brings new challenges and it's our job to meet them. This is one place where you'll never be bored. :)
- Half of us work on the product. We build, design, and refine how millions of people interact with the site.
- Half of us work with our community. We help backers and creators, and discover incredible projects to share with the world.
Work that matters.
Kickstarter is changing how millions of people around the world engage with art and creativity. Your work will help tens of thousands of creative projects come alive.
We do it because we believe in it.
The goal of Kickstarter is for more creative work to exist in the world. It's a passion for all of us. We get to help people bring their dreams to life.
We're in the greatest city in the world.
Our office is in a tenement building in New York City's Lower East Side. Next year we move into our new, permanent home: a historic building that we bought in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. We can't wait!
We want Kickstarter to be around forever.
We're building something meaningful that will last. We try to approach our work with thinking and care, and we want to work with people who do the same.
It's fun!
We're a friendly group of people, and we do a lot of things together: hack days, happy hours, trips, workshops, movies, lunch, and a lot of laughing.*
