Post commentT-10 Days... Initiate Panic In 3....2....1....
Below is part of a donation I received from Casey Grove, a friend from UAF. It was accompanied by a lovely card that basically said I should use the money for the project... or not, either way it was hilarious.
I apologize for the lack of updates, please take it as a sign that we are working really hard on this whole thing. The robot is coming along nicely, paint is almost done and we could be wrapping up the robot by the end of the weekend.*
As for the filming, rough cuts are coming along and we are preparing for the BIG DAY! It might be a little more guerrilla than I had originally planned, but either way, it will get done.
I hope everybody is doing well and please know that we are working on your prizes too. I figured we should get the film done before hitting them hardcore, but please know your donations and support has not been forgotten. I think everybody will really like the finished product.
Nick
*Fingers crossed

Posted project update #3Story Box is up and running.
Post commentHello, friends.
Story Box has been up and running since Tuesday evening! See the shaky iPhone video and photos below.
Despite the low number of people on campus this Thanksgiving weekend, I'm excited by how many folks have been adding their own stories to the collection. If you're in the Cambridge area and would like to experience the project, it's currently installed outside room 10-250 on the MIT campus. It'll be situated there (for sure) until the evening of Tuesday, November 30, and hopefully (pending) for a few weeks longer.
Story Box will live on into 2011, too! In addition to likely appearing at Figment Boston and the Firefly Arts Festival next summer, I've been approached by the Boston Society of Architects about including the project in Common Boston in June. Check out my blog, Starving Architect, for continued updates.
Thanks again, everyone who helped bring Story Box to life! Those of you who contributed funding, ideas, labor, and moral support -- I'm so immensely grateful for your help. We've made a great project together!
I'll be contacting everyone soon about how to give you your Kickstarter "rewards." :)
