Thus we're keeping our eye out for projects in the spirit of scary, and there's no time like now to snag yourself some seasonal goth dresses, zombie battle games, and horror flicks, so before turkeys take over your life, peep this fabulous creep-fest and the goodies they're dishing.

This lovely lady, aka Spork Ninja, aka Gravity Doll, has been sketching her senior collection to the tune of black roses and bloody ribbons. The final four pieces (pictured above) make up Avant Gore, an Alexander McQueen meets Addams Family collection that now needs time at the sewing machine so the looks can spend time on your flesh. Favorite reward: a custom-made black corset with "red blood drip effect."

Like Westerns? Like horror movies? Revelation Trail, John Gibson's feature film that's been five years in the making, brings you the two in one. In it, a frontier preacher's town falls to near ruin and he joins forces with the town lawmaker to fight against fields upon fields of zombies (or somesuch). Side plot: the team hit a pretty serious snag when their most important shoot location, Fort Massac, fell prey to soil erosion, so the passionate crew's hard at work recreating their own fort (the show must go on!). Favorite reward: a thank-you video recorded by a zombie.

Okay let's get serious and bring the human vs zombie battle to real life: the park, say, or your office. Game designer Brennan Taylor and writer-photographer J.R. Blackwell's role-playing game Shelter in Place puts you at the helm of mid-zombie-apocalypse conflict with good old-fashioned tag as its backbone. How it all works I can't say for sure, but the PDF, book, "twist characters," and related paraphernalia should make everything clear. Favorite reward: your very own little zombie (duh).
