Early last year, professional puppeteer/occasional accordion player Dax Tran-Caffee raised funds for the debut show of his newly founded performance company, Busted Puppet. I was initially thrilled just to see Dax’s detailed concept sketches and his pretty stellar demonstration of a puppet prototype, so when I saw that he had posted a video of the final performance, I literally squealed with delight. It’s amazing to finally see the real thing — especially with one puppet clocking in at over twelve feet tall, and requiring three people to operate. So neat!
