There’s a disturbing trend afoot at Kickstarter these days: monster projects galore! Don’t get us wrong — we love a good monster — but we’re starting to get a little concerned. What’s happening out there?
A little food for thought to go with this list of our favorite monster-related Kickstarter projects:
A hungry monster is addicted to eating kids in the short film DENNIS. (That’s a monster sketch by DENNIS director Kyle Aldrich, above.)

Christopher Howell is making a monster book.
Bigger Bads promises us some REALLY big monsters for the roleplaying game Monsters and Other Childish Things.
Watch out for the Bug Baby — unless mutant cannibalistic babies are your thing (not judging).
Chinle Miller has gone in search of Big Foot. But wait — so have Quarter Orange.
Even zombie’s are getting iPhones before I do.

Illustrator Scott Purdy is drawing monsters-on-demand for backers of Patrons of the Monstrous Arts.
Feeling spooked, yet?
