Gameduino, or How to Win at Rewards

It’s not often I encounter a project where every single reward is something I want, but James Bowman, creator of Gameduino, has done it. Every reward tier screams CHOOSE ME. But how to choose??

For a mere $3, you can nab a zip file of Gameduino’s audio and video in full “8-bit uncompressed glory.”

Yep, count me in.

But wait! For $53, you can get the physical Gameduino. Just connect it to your Arduino and BAM, you’re on your way to making games.

Why yes, that sounds excellent. I’ll take one please.

HOLY crap, for $113 you get the Gameduino, an Arduino Uno pre-loaded with Asteroids, a joystick, and this nifty reference poster:

Sold!

But guys, it keeps getting better. For $263, you will ENTER THE REALM OF THE IMMORTALS. Think about how long it normally takes to become immortal. This seems like a much more direct route:

What’s that? Immortality isn’t enough? No problem! There’s always this:

James will make you your own freaking game! You could say, “Hi James, I would like you to make me the 8-bit hero of a dungeon crawler where the goal is to run through tunnels made of chocolate frosting in search of donuts.”

Two people have already selected this epic reward, and yes, they are welcome to steal my game idea.

So that, in a nutshell, is how you win at rewards. Well-played James, well-played.
