American Terrorist is a graphic novel about political dissent and social activism. Through Kickstarter, creators Tyler and Wendy Chin-Tanner hope to transform their project into a high quality, independently published book.

But before there’s a book, there’s a lot more! Tyler gives us the full run-down of what it takes to make a page (you can see each stage, above): “There’s four of us involved in making a page like this, which is why it’s so interesting to see it at each stage,” he explains.  “Because I’m the writer/art director I work with each artist along the way; Andy MacDonald for the black & white, Matt Wilson for the colors, and Kristyn Ferretti for the graphics and lettering.”
